Bengali Style Pumpkin Flower Fritters (Kumro Phul Bora)
Kumro Phul /Pumpkin Flowers are used in Bengali cuisine in the form of an appetizer. Pumpkin flower fritters
or Kumro Phuler Bora as it is generally called in Bengali is a famous appetizer in Bengal. It can be either Prawn Stuffed Kumro Phul
and spices and then stuffed in the pumpkin flower then dipped in gram flour batter and deep-fried or just plain dipped in flour batter
with spices and deep-fried. Prawn can be replaced with other minced meat of your choice for stuffing. For Vegans, you can use
either minced soya or grated paneer. You can also use either cheddar cheese or processed cheese (grated Amul cheese would be most traditional).
