Bengali Style Kochupata Diye Chingri Bhapa

Bengali Style Kochupata Diye Chingri Bhapa
Or Steamed Prawns with Colocasia Leaves

Colocasia leaves are commonly called kochu pata in Bengali and can be part of some delectable Bengali recipes.
Kochu pata is delicious when cooked all by itself like Kochu Pata bhaja or kochu pata bata but it can also be paired with vegetables and seafood.

This is a prawn recipe cooked with Colocasia leaves. It has a spicy flavour from mustard and green chillies and a nutty flavour from poppy seeds.
It tastes exotic and unique refreshing due to the addition of coconut and Colocasia leaves.

Here is a recipe in which kochu pata is paired with another favourite of Bengalis – Shrimp or as Bengalis call it – Chingri is also tasty all by itself
and also as these two great ingredients come together. Prepare this delicious dish for your family and friends.

A very easy recipe cooked in minutes. This is actually a steamed delicacy but it can be microwaved too for a couple of minutes and it will have the
same taste. But of course, you can steam as the traditional recipe calls for it

It is so flavourful that it can be served with simple plain steamed rice and Masoor dal.

Try it out and enjoy!!
